Walk-in coolers, designed, installed and kept cold
New walk-in cooler design and installation, routine maintenance and emergency repair for kitchens, grocers and care facilities across Northwest Arkansas.
Chapter 01
The slow failures behind a warm walk-in
A walk-in cooler hardly ever fails the way a light bulb does. It slides. The display reads a degree or two warmer each week, the compressor runs longer, and one morning the product on the back shelf feels wrong. By the time someone notices, the cause has usually been building for weeks.
The usual suspects are plain. A frosted evaporator coil blocks airflow. A tired evaporator fan motor stops moving air even though the unit sounds fine. A door gasket that no longer seals lets warm kitchen air pour in every time someone walks through. A defrost cycle that doesn't clear the coil, or a condensate line that freezes solid, turns ice into a blanket. And product stacked tight against the coil quietly stops everything else from working.

Design, install, service: how Trinity handles a walk-in cooler
New walk-ins start with the space and what goes in it. We design around the room you have, the volume you store and the way your crew moves through the door, then install with as little downtime for the business as we can manage. We install and service walk-ins for restaurants, grocery stores and healthcare facilities.
On service calls we work the refrigeration system from the box to the condensing unit: evaporator and condenser coils, fan motors, door heaters and gaskets, defrost components, controls, contactors, and the metering device, whether that is a TXV or an electronic valve. The photo above shows what the control side looks like inside an open refrigeration cabinet, with the contactors and controllers wired and labelled so the next technician can read it.
If the cooler fails at midnight, 24/7 emergency repair is part of the job. Call (479) 325-1075 and we will get a technician moving. Trinity is based at 500 Spring St in Springdale.
Chapter 03
Holding temperature day after day
Most walk-in trouble can be caught on a routine walk-through. The Free Visual Equipment Check for restaurants covers walk-ins, reach-ins and prep tables: door gaskets and hinges closing properly, condenser and evaporator surfaces and vent grilles visibly clean and unobstructed, ice or frost buildup, fan guards secure, drain pans and lines free of leaks or standing water, and the temperature display reading noted. It is visual only, with no gauges and no disassembly.
Maintenance and service agreements are available after an on-site assessment, and each one is built around your equipment and operating hours. Between visits, the best habits cost nothing: keep shelves off the coil, close the door fully, and write down the display reading once a day so a trend shows up on paper before it shows up in the product.
One restaurant owner wrote in a Google review that Trinity arrived in less than an hour the night before Christmas Eve and fixed the freezer on site. That is the standard we hold the walk-in calls to.
