Mini-split installation and service for homes and businesses

Heating and cooling for the room your ductwork never reached, installed on a wall, a pad or a roof stand and serviced around the clock across Springdale and Northwest Arkansas.

Chapter 01

Why a mini-split suits the room the ductwork never reached

A ductless mini-split is an outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor heads by a small bundle of refrigerant lines, a power cable and a condensate drain. There is no duct to run. That makes it the answer for the spaces a central system handles badly: a room addition, an office carved out of a shop, a storage room that has to stay cool, a kitchen that runs hotter than the dining room.

One system heats and cools. In summer it moves heat outside, in winter the same unit pulls heat from the outdoor air and delivers it inside, and each indoor head holds its own room at its own temperature. Trinity installs and services these systems for homeowners and for businesses across Springdale and Northwest Arkansas, on walls, on roofs, and on block buildings where the outdoor unit needs a stand.

Placement, sizing and the line set

A good install begins before anything is drilled. We assess the space to decide where the indoor head and the outdoor unit belong, looking at room size, insulation, windows, and the way air will move across the room. The system is sized to the heating and cooling load of that room. An oversized head short cycles and leaves the room clammy, and an undersized one never catches up on a hot afternoon.

Then the physical work. The outdoor unit is set on a pad, a bracket, or on a roof a timber stand, with the line set run along the surface and protected where it crosses the roof or a wall. The wall penetration is sealed. The lines are pressure tested with nitrogen and pulled to a deep vacuum before the system is opened to refrigerant, because air and moisture in a mini-split cause trouble for years. The unit gets its own disconnect and the condensate gets a drain path that works without a pump when the layout allows.

We finish by running the system and checking that the numbers match the manufacturer guidelines, then walk you through the remote and the settings so the system is easy to live with.

Chapter 03

Keeping a ductless system clean and running

A mini-split is easy to neglect because it sits quietly on a wall. The filters in the indoor head load up with dust, the indoor coil collects a film, and the condensate drain slowly clogs. The outdoor coil gathers cottonwood, leaves and grass clippings. Each of these makes the system work harder, and a drain that backs up can leave a stain on the wall below the head.

A Trinity service visit cleans the filters and the coils, checks the drain, tests the electrical connections and reads the refrigerant side for signs of a leak. When something breaks at two in the morning, the line at (479) 325-1075 is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the system at a home or a shop is more than you want to repair, we can talk through replacement.

Two kinds of job

Same equipment, different questions

At a home

  • Additions, garages, finished attics and bedrooms the main system never cooled evenly.
  • Quiet indoor heads and a clean wall finish matter most.
  • The full residential picture is on our ductless HVAC page.

At a business

  • Offices, back rooms and tenant spaces that need their own thermostat.
  • Roof and block-wall outdoor units that need a stand and protected lines.
  • Larger buildings may call for VRF or light commercial HVAC.

Home systems can ride on a Trinity membership with two System Care visits a year, and there is $50 off your next service call. See the membership plans, use the contact page, or call (479) 325-1075.
